Areas of interest

A Specialist interest in Supervision and Resilience.

I am passionate about the importance of supervision to maintain good practice and the resilience for those who help others in their professional roles.

If you want to be a ‘resilient’ supervisor, let’s talk!

I encourage supervisor curiosity, being a ‘well’ practitioner, I like to challenge supervisory practice and to elevate supervision.

It’s such a passion of mine that   I researched supervisee self-care in clinical supervision for my Doctorate.

I have supervised others for a number of years, across a wide range of helping professions such as within criminal justice settings, in education settings, for mental health organisations.

I'm Dr Mish

A therapist and Supervisor.

I have about 25 years of working in a variety of roles within the helping professions – within criminal justice in prisons and probation, mental health charity, domestic abuse support.

I retrained, undertaking a Masters degree, and launching my private practice for counselling and psychotherapy.

Adding to my therapeutic skills along the way, in 2022, I completed my Doctorate in Counselling & Psychotherapy. I now add coaching to the skillset, specifically concentrating on working with women wellbeing entrepreneurs, who juggle life + work.

I offer individual sessions, online and in-person in South Leicestershire. I also offer supervision to individuals and organisations. For those in the wider helping professionals, supervision focussed on resilience may also be helpful. For group supervision for qualified supervisors, please get in touch.

Outside of work, I like gardening, exercising, and my cat. I have an eye for trainers and quite a collection! I’m based in South Leicestershire, with a husband, the co-invester in our children!
